Autobiography of Vincent Price.
Topic: Biography

For the famed horror movie actor Vincent Price, art was a major passion. Not so much as an artist but as an art collector and connoisseur. His autobiography is essentially about his love affair with art. Saving his pennies, Price bought his first piece of artwork at the age of 12 - an etching by Rembrandt. Below is a signed copy of his 1959 autobiography "I Like What I Know".

Kenny Shopsin is an artist.
Topic: cuisine

From Eat Me: The Food and Philosophy of Kenny Shopsin. I am struck at Shopsin's creative process, how he let-it-all-rides on inquisitiveness and dare. Once you get in the right zone, the shackles disappear. The best poems are written fast in off-the-cuff flippancy, as if you hit upon the right moment to construct. Shopsin works along such a line in the culinary artform.

More on Shopsin: I Like Killing Flies.
